General Bursaries
General Bursaries
These limited bursary funds are available to students experiencing financial need. Applicants must be involved in Conrad Grebel’s residence, associate, or academic program (Music, PACS, TS, Mennonite Studies, etc.) A Conrad Grebel University College application form for undergraduate bursary must be completed and submitted to the Scholarships and Bursaries Committee with a detailed covering letter explaining the nature of the applicant’s financial need. The bursary application deadlines are as follows: Fall – November 1st, Winter – March 1st, and Spring – July 1st. Note: Students are encouraged to apply before the beginning of the academic term.
It is expected that the applicant will have applied for government financial aid or, if that is not the case, the reason(s) must be given in the covering letter.
Similarly, the parents of the applicant are expected to make a financial contribution towards the educational expenses of the applicant providing they have the ability to do so. If they are not able to make a contribution, the reason(s) must be given in the covering letter. In addition to financial need, the Scholarships and Bursaries Committee will assess other factors such as:
