Undergraduate Bursary Application Form (PDF)

These limited bursary funds are available to students experiencing financial need. Applicants must be involved in Conrad Grebel’s residence, associate, or academic program. A Conrad Grebel University College application form for undergraduate bursary (see link above) must be completed and submitted to the Scholarships and Bursaries Committee with a detailed covering letter explaining the nature of the applicant’s financial need. This form is also available at Student Services or the main office. It is expected that the applicant will have applied for government financial aid or, if that is not the case, the reason(s) must be given in the covering letter. Similarly, the parents of the applicant are expected to make a financial contribution towards the educational expenses of the applicant providing they have the ability to do so. If they are not able to make a contribution, the reason(s) must be given in the covering letter. In addition to financial need, the Scholarships and Bursaries Committee will assess other factors such as:

  • Fiscal responsibility
  • Program of study
  • Academic standing

Students are encouraged to apply before the beginning of the academic term.

Grebel bursaries are funded by:

  • A.J. Shantz Endowment fund
  • Stauffer endowment fund
  • And the Ontario Trust for Student Support endowment fund at Conrad Grebel.

Arnold and Gladys Gingrich Memorial Fund Award

The Gingrich Memorial Fund offers assistance to international students for activities related to integrating Christian faith and the fine arts, to students preparing for church-related vocations or for bridge-building programs in international, interdenominational and/or socioeconomic fields.
