Gordon
Nelson
founded
the
Heritage
Resources
Centre
(HRC)
in
1987
to
replace
the
Parks
Canada-University
of
Waterloo
partnership
which
had
operated
since
1984.
He
served
as
director
until
his
retirement
in
2003
and
during
his
tenure
the
centre
published
dozens
of
studies,
occasional
papers
and
workshop
proceedings.
Professor
Nelson
continues
to
be
an
advisor
and
supporter
of
the
HRC.
