From July 2-4, 2018, graduate researcher Thana Hussein had the distinct honors to showcase her research at the British Computer Society 32nd Human Computer Interaction Conference (BHCI-2018) held in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Congratulations to Thana and Preet for their recent success in obtaining competitive awards! Thana is an AGE-WELL Access Award recipient to attend a summer school at the University of Hong Kong as well as being selected as an attendee for the AGE-WELL summer institute in Banff, AB. Preet just got back from her (busy!) week at the CIHR Summer Program in Aging in Harrison Hot Springs, BC.
Mahzar just did a brilliant job delivering her CHI 2018 talk on the "VR exergames for people living with dementia" research we're doing with Schlegel Villages. Well done, Mahzar!

Our project for virtual reality exergames to promote physical activity for people living with dementia was covered in CTV's 6 o'clock news! The project is a collaborative effort with Schlegel Villages and the MASc thesis research of ITWIL's Mahzar Eisapour.
