Information session

MPSA welcomes all students to attend MPS Meets the Mayor at City Hall in Waterloo for a Question & Answer Session with the honourable Dave Jaworsky.  Make sure to prepare several questions in advance as this is an excellent opportunity to network with seasoned public servants! 

Information session on the new WaterlooWorks database - By popular request, the awesome Alicia Flatt will be returning to the program space to hold a mandatory information session explaining important details pertaining to navigation of the new WaterlooWorks co-op database.  We encourage all students, faculty, and staff to attend as this session will be tremendously beneficial!  

Talks for current students by senior students - This afternoon will feature presentations from senior students about their co-op experiences as well as advice for junior students on how to be successful in the public service. There's a lunch mix and mingle at 12:00 p.m. and the talks will begin at 1:00 p.m. The festivities will continue in the afternoon as junior students and senior students meet at the Duke of Wellington for dinner and networking.

A presentation for current students - Prof. Henstra will be giving a special presentation about co-op presentation. With the first application period fast approaching, this presentation will help you get familiar with JobMine and the different stages of the co-op process. Please bring your questions.

Meeting for MPS Class of 2016 students - This mandatory meeting for students completing the MTP project in the Winter term will focus on discussing the MTP, building teamwork skills, and learning about crisis management through a series of case studies. A lunch mix and mingle with the current students will follow.

Info Session for the MPS Class of 2017 - Learn all about working for the federal public service from former MPSers, Nicci, Alana, and Brad (Class of 2015). They will discuss their experience in Ottawa and provide you with some tips on co-op and applying to federal positions. They are also available to answer your questions.  

Info session for the MPS Class of 2017 - The MPS program warmly welcomes Vasu Daggupaty, Team Lead & Policy Advisor with the Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure. Mr. Daggupaty will be speaking about public service work and sharing tips about competing for public service jobs. He will also be available to answer your questions. 

Info session for the MPS Class of 2017 - The MPS program welcomes representatives from the Ontario Ministry of Finance and the Treasury Board Secretariat. They will be discussing the benefits of working for these two ministries, as well as where to find information about job opportunities and internships.    

The Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Environment will be hosting a joint graduate information reception to provide students the opportunity to learn more about our programs.
