Practical Experiences in Economic Justice for Women

This Thursday Talk will feature Linda Jones, an independent consultant working for Inclusive Economic Development (Women and Gender) Initiatives, International. In recent years, Linda has worked at St. Francis Xavier University to lead the launch of an international centre for women's leadership with a focus organizations working for low income, indigenous, refugee, remote and rural communities. She has also worked extensively with the Aga Khan foundation as a field researcher and consultant, and as an independent consultant for Market Development Initiatives, International. Finally, Linda spent 5 years from 2002 to 2007 as technical director of international operations for Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA).

Jones has been published extensively in the field of economic and gender justice and is a leader in the field. Her experience will be valuable in exploring the relationship between gender, economics and global justice.
