Steafán Hanvey, Irish singer-songwriter, will speak about art as a medium to talk about conflict and peace.
Steafán has used his music to explore the personal and political landscapes of Northern Ireland. His presentation "Look Behind You!" combines the photojournalism of his father, Bobbie Hanvey, with his song and anecdotal memories. He uses these mediums to combine the public and the private and create a narrative that reflects the public and political face of the conflict in Northern Ireland.
More info can be found at Steafán's website.
Come out to hear Steafán at our Thursday Peace Talk. Bring your lunch!
Steafán will also be performing at the Conrad Grebel Chapel later Thursday evening at 7:00 pm.
