Achim Kempf
Dr. Achim Kempf is a professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. Additionally, he is a Research Associate at the Perimeter Institute and the Dieter Schwarz Chair in the Physics of Information and AI.
He previously held postdoctoral fellowships at the DAMTP, Cambridge and IFT, University of Florida. His research focuses on basic questions related to information theory, quantum theory, general relativity and cosmology. He is also working on information-theoretic aspects of engineering and biology.
