Aukosh Jagannath

Dr. Jagannath is the Canada Research Chair in Mathematical Foundations of Data Science and an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science. He has cross-appointments in the Department of Applied Mathematics and in the Cheriton School of Computer Science. He is an affiliate of the Perimeter Institute and Waterloo.AI. Before joining Waterloo, he was a Benjamin Pierce fellow at Harvard University, and an NSF mathematical sciences postdoctoral fellow at Harvard and the University of Toronto. He received a PhD in mathematics from the Courant Institute (NYU), where he was advised by Gerard Ben Arous.
