Online Profile Builder
What is it?
Faculty-member database that generates online profiles for faculty members using a combination of user-provided information and automatically generated data from several institutional sources such as Human Resources. In order to make full use of this service, faculty members need to add information about their activities not contained in other institutional databases. To set up a profile or for assistance with updating content, please contact Margaret O'Neill and Angie Docking. If you wish to set up a personal webpage, you can use Open Scholar or request a WCMS website; please contact Angie Docking for assistance with this.
Waterloo Online Profile Builder
You can edit or delete data that you add yourself, and can now modify data that comes from institutional sources.
Updates to faculty profiles are made through Waterloo Online Profile Builder. Faculty can update their own profile, using the Waterloo Online Profile Builder How To Guide for reference. Faculty must login with WatIAM credentials to access this authenticated tool. Please contact Erick Engelke or Marlon Griffith if there are any access issues.
Changes made on Waterloo Online Profile Builder may not appear on a faculty WCMS profile for several hours. For any questions, or if a change made over 24 hours ago has not updated the faculty profile, please contact Erick Engelke or Marlon Griffith.
Expert Finder
Faculty should visit the University of Waterloo Expert Finder site to review their profile. Expert Finder is promoted by Media Relations to external journalists so they can search for research experts. The information in Expert Finder profiles is sourced from faculty members' public WCMS profiles.
If any corrections/updates are required or a new profile needs to be created, please email Margaret O’Neill.
