Jason was awarded this year's W.B. Pearson medal in the Faculty of Science for recognition of creative research as presented in his Ph.D. thesis.

Zhao and Graham both went to the CSC in Edmonton. Zhao presented his work on his new iodoarene-catalyzed alkene arylation reaction, and Graham presented in the Early Career Researcher symposium.
Welcome to Cicely and Lilian, who will be working in the lab over the summer. Cicely is working on an industrial project with our partner Isowater, and Lilian will be working on a collaboration project with the Quideau Lab from Bordeaux.
Jason is using his NSERC PDF award to go to MIT this fall and join the Buchwald lab.

Congratulations to Myriam and Léanne for their review paper on the intersection of HVI and organophosphorus chemistry being accepted in Asian J. Org. Chem.
We followed our work on allene fluorination with a related paper on chlorination. This has been accepted for publication in the upcoming special issue of the Beilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry on Hypervalent Iodine.
