At this year's GWC2 AGM, Carlee won both the Chem795 Doctoral Seminar Award and the Charles S. Humphrey Award. Add this on top of the NSERC Doctoral Award and she's having a great week.
Congratulations from all of us!
After a couple years playing in the area of deuterium chemistry, Ben successfully defended his MSc thesis titled "Synthesis of Deuterated Benzene for a Circular Deuterium Economy". It was all-around a great thesis and defence.
We wish you all the best in your future travels.
Our first joint paper with the Dieckmann lab is published. Avery built the molecule and Natasha & Lindsey played with it in the NMR.
More to come, including various isotopically-labelled variants.
At the end of every Chem392 project, the student delivers a seminar on their project. Teegan gave an excellent talk on cyanation of sulfoxonium ylides. Well done!
Congratulations, Avery, on winning a Fall 2023 Graduate TA Award for your work with Chem262.
