Congratulations to Dr. Avery To, who is the chemistry recipient of this year's W.B. Pearson Medal for his thesis titled "A Curiosity Driven Exploration of Hypervalent lodine(III) Reagents". This is the highest level of achievement for PhD graduates in Science at Waterloo.

Our most recent work on the trifluoroethylation of sulfoxonium ylides was published in BJOC. This is the second paper published in collaboration with the Burtoloso Lab of USP, Brazil.
The group went to QOMSBOC 2024 at the University of Toronto. Well done with the poster presentations!
