Transition metal dichalcogenide material (TMDM) Quantum Dot Engineering

Hybrid gold and graphene nanofeatures and quantum dots, carbon doped BN, Mo­S2 and WS2 quantum dots with average particle size of 1.9 nm, 3.6 nm, 3.3 nm and 3.9 nm respectively for graphene, MoS2, WS2, and BN were engineered ultrafast laser irradiation of precursor solutions. It is possible to tune the bandgap energy of the 2D materials quantum dots and emissive of QDs is shown. Here are some initial results of this work;
