This week is Open Education Week, 7-11 March, an opportunity to actively share and learn about the latest achievements in Open Education worldwide. Here at CC, we would love to celebrate OE Week all the time, but this week in particular we're thrilled to share a range of resources and activities to mark this global celebration of Open Education.
Here are some key updates from CC this month:

The Centre for Extended Learning will be hosting a Virtual Learning Strategy (VLS) Showcase to highlight the Waterloo projects that eCampus Ontario
The Centre for Extended Learning will be hosting a Virtual Learning Strategy (VLS) Showcase to highlight the Waterloo projects that eCampus Ontario
The open house will showcase 450 new resources and demonstrate how to access the VLS and Central Vitual Learning Platform.
Starting with a critical look at how Open Educational Resources (OERs) can open doors to college affordability and student success, Robin and Rajiv will expand the conversation to move beyond cost-savings into a broader focus on access and equity. They will give examples of teaching practices that center learner agency and voice, catalyze the open sharing of knowledge, and demonstrate the value of higher education to students, faculty, and the wider community. Robin and Rajiv will explore how Open Education can shape a hopeful and humane vision for the future of higher education.
