High throughput DI-SPME-GC-TOFMS method employing a new matrix compatible fibre for determination of triazole fungicides in fruits

Presented by: Erica Silva

A fast and robust method was developed for the determination of 10 triazole fungicides in fruit samples using direct immersion solid phase microextraction coupled to gas chromatography with time-of-flight mass spectrometry detection (DI-SPME-GC-TOFMS). In this work, a new concept of solid-phase microextraction (SPME) sorbent recently developed, which allows for direct immersion extraction in complex food matrices, has been applied for analysis of 10 triazole fungicides in whole grape and strawberry pulps. Figures of merit obtained using the SPME method was compared to those obtained with QuEChERS AOAC method.
