Professor Janusz Pawliszyn, was named the 9th most influential person in analytical science across the globe by Analytical Scientist’s 2019 Power List. He was also recently awarded the 2019 Talanta Medal for his numerous contributions to analytical chemistry and for his pioneering work in solid phase microextraction (SPME).
Analytical Scientist's list highlights the top 100 personalities that influence the field today, around the world and across academic, government and industry sectors. This is the fourth time Pawliszyn has ranked in the international survey since it began in 2013.
The Talanta Medal is awarded on a biennial basis, and acknowledges outstanding achievements in the field of analytical chemistry.
“I’ve focused on developing green technologies in analytical chemistry, such as approaches for sample preparation that facilitate the solvent-free integration of sampling with extraction,” said Pawliszyn in a quote about his career highlight on the 2019 Power List website.
Congratulations, Professor Pawliszyn!
