Dismantling Systemic Racism: Policy & Governance

The panel discussion will highlight the importance of policy changes and governance transformations in addressing structural racism. The discussion will focus on gaps in policies, governance structures, and cultures that contribute to systemic racism; recommendations to include Indigenous, Black, and other racialized voices into governance, senior leadership, and other decision-making bodies; and ways to embed equity, diversity, inclusiveness, anti-racism, anti-oppression, and decolonization into University policies and procedures.
