Our terahertz quantum cascade laser (THz-QCL) device establishes a world record
In collaboration with Professor Qing Hu'sresearch group from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA, our research team recently demonstrated terahertz quantum cascade lasers (THz QCLs) that established a world record for high-temperature operation.
Electrical and computer engineering PhD student, Trevor Blaikie, selected winner of the NAMBE 2024 Best Journal Paper Award
Electrical and computer engineering PhD student, Trevor Blaikie, has been selected as the winner of the NAMBE 2024 Best Journal Paper Award. Trevor’s research, supervised by Dr. Zbig Wasilewski, earned top recognition for the paper titled “Optimizing GaAs/AlGaAs growth on GaAs (111)B for enhanced nonlinear efficiency in quantum optical metasurfaces.”
Professor Zbig Wasilewski won the 2019 MBE Innovator Award
Professor Zbig Wasilewski, the Principal Investigator (PI) of the QNC-MBE group, has been awarded the MBE Innovator Award at the 35th North American Conference on Molecular Beam Epitaxy (NAMBE 2019) in Ketchum, USA. The MBE Innovator Award is to recognize individuals whose innovative work has significantly advanced the field of MBE. Prof. Wasilewski was honored
