Thank you to all Renison Residence students who completed our start-of-term residence feedback survey. We were pleased to have 98 students complete our survey, representing 48% of our residence community - awesome!
We also want to share the winner of our $50 WatCard prize. Congratulations to our winner, Keerthi!
We share our thanks to all students who completed the survey. On October 17, Ryan (Assistant Director of Student Experience & Housing) and Jen (Housing Manager) met with the Vice-President of Student Affairs & Community Education, Tanya Missere-Mihas, to share your important feedback.
Some helpful things you told us for the survey:
- Our residence floor washrooms are in need of some improvement: we will be working in the future with our Facilities Management team and Finance office to find ways to make necessary improvements to these spaces for you.
- The food in the Cafeteria could use more variety: we will be working more closely with our Food Services Manager to find more ways you can provide your input on what you like and what has to go in the future.
- 85% of you feel like you belong and 99% of you know who your residence don is. We are also glad that 95% of you know where to go if you need help. Amazing!
- 1 out of 3 respondents shared they could use more help learning about their rights and responsibilities in residence, as well as policies like Renison’s Harassment, Discrimination & Abuse Prevention Policy and UWaterloo’s Policy 42 - Prevention of and Response to Sexual Violence: we want to help make sure you know your rights as a resident and what resources and policies are available at UWaterloo to keep you safe. We will be providing more awareness education about these topics in the future for you.
Please know your Student Experience & Housing team are always here to listen to your feedback and questions. You can message us or visit us anytime you need support.
