The mobile plot of racial and court strike combinations

My master's thesis at ETH Zurich focused on evaluating data from court cases in the United States to discern the impact of race on the jury selection process. I was motivated by the Gerald Stanley murder trial, and perhaps due to my education figured a statistical approach could give some useful insight.

My work took two parts: the first was the development of a number of custom visualizations which communicated particular models and summaries of the data. These were meant to replace the dry and hard-to-read tables that had been present in work published on the topic previously. All of the code which is used to generate these custom plots, alongside with my analysis script and final thesis document, can be found on my GitHub account: https://github.com/Salahub/peremptory_challenges
