I was an Instructor / Coordinator at the Cheriton School of Computer Science, University of Waterloo from July 2019 to April 2021.

Previously, I was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science – Human-Computer Interaction – from the University of Waterloo (2019), under the supervision of Dr. Lennart Nacke and Dr. Daniel Vogel and as a member of the HCI Games Group. My research focuses on the design of gameful applications. My main interests include gamification and games for health and learning. 

My background includes an M.Sc. in Computer Science and a B.Sc. in Information Systems from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. Before coming to Canada, I worked for several years as a Software Engineer in Brazil.
