The following list presents our current research topics:

• Microbial electrochemical cells (MECs) are emerging biotechnologies that marry microbial metabolism with electrochemical cells.
• Anaerobic membrane bioreactors (AnMBRs) are to integrate anaerobic digestion with membrane separation, such as membrane bioreactors (MBRs).
• Anaerobic oxidation of methane (AOM) is a unique biological reaction important for global carbon cycle. Dr. Lee's group has focused on AOM coupled with denitrification and extracellular electron transfer.
