DAC 305: Design for Interactive Games

This course introduces fundamental design skills for two-dimensional interactive media, with special attention on video games. Students will learn to theorize, design, prototype, and test digital interactive creations as a form of entertainment and communication. The course also features a strong reflective component about the effects of video games and the player experience that they evoke. Students will learn a critical vocabulary that enables them to discuss video game effects and gives them insights into the latest game research.
