I am Mahmoud, a PhD student at the ECE department who is fortunate to be working with Prof. Patrick Mitran. My interests span information theory, wireless communications, optimization, machine Learning, numerical analysis and software Development. I have a special Interest in exploring and integrating knowledge from different domains and working in a collaborative work environment.
I graduated from Florida Institute of Technology, Florida, USA in 2018 with a BSc in Electrical Engineering (Summa Cum Laude) and a BSc in Applied Mathematics (Summa Cum Laude). For the ECE degree, my senior system design project, sponsored by NASA-JPL, focused on wireless communications for autonomous multi-rover systems for Mars exploration. For the applied maths degree, my research project focused on Bayesian deep learning for population models.
