Mehdi Jalalmaab received the B.Sc. degree in aerospace engineering in 2008 from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, the M.Sc. degree in systems design engineering in 2014 and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering both from the University of Waterloo, Canada.

He is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the mechanical and mechatronics engineering department at the University of Waterloo. His research focuses on mobile autonomous robotics, sensor networks, cooperative autonomous driving, vehicle dynamics, adaptive control and model predictive control techniques.
