Carly Sing-Judge

Covid Project Manager (Until June 2023)

Research Interests

Carly has previous academic experience working with species at risk – freshwater mussels in Ontario and wastewater effects on zebrafish eggs from the University of Guelph. Her interests are focused on understanding how contaminants affect individual animal models as well as their populations. While attending Wilfrid Laurier University, she characterized gonadal development in the mummichog – a potential estuarine fish model for industry.

Carly was the former Covid Project Manager working with the Servos Lab group to help identify SARS-CoV2 in wastewater. She conducted PCR assays to locate the virus in samples from the surrounding Waterloo areas.
