Our laboratory conducts a wide range of biological analyses to assess physiological, biochemical, and molecular responses to environmental stressors.
We evaluate endpoints across multiple levels of biological organization, including tissue-level effects, organismal health, and molecular responses. Capabilities include histological analysis, cell culture, and bioassays such as the yeast estrogen screen (YES) assay to assess endocrine activity. Biochemical and molecular approaches are used to characterize organismal responses to contaminants, including changes in gene expression and cellular function. These analyses are supported by laboratory infrastructure and instrumentation for sample processing and microscopy, enabling integrated assessment of environmental effects in aquatic organisms.
