Jacqueline Peters

MSc Candidate (Graduated)

Jaki is completed an interdisciplinary project to characterize the impact of surface water and groundwater on brook trout environmental DNA (eDNA). Her goal is to understand how seasonal variations affect eDNA movement through the Grand River watershed. Using field and laboratory sampling, she hopes to understand how climate change will affect the applicability of eDNA as a tool for species identification. Jaki is also co-supervised by David Rudolph from the Earth and Environmental Sciences department. She now works with Environment and Climate Change Canada.
