Research Interests
Justin joined the Servos Lab as a Research Assistant on the SARS-CoV-2 wastewater surveillance program following the completion of his undergraduate degree at Wilfrid Laurier University. In this role, he contributed to routine laboratory operations supporting wastewater-based monitoring of COVID-19, including influent sample processing, RNA extractions, and the preparation and shipment of wastewater samples to partnered analytical facilities. He also supported day-to-day workflow activities within the program, helping ensure samples were processed efficiently and in accordance with established protocols, with a strong focus on consistency, traceability, and quality assurance in molecular analyses. His work supported the generation of high-quality data used in public health surveillance and reporting efforts.
