Research Interests

Rashne started in the Servos lab as a coop student in Jan. 2022.  She has worked on a variety of projects such as environmental DNA, wastewater surveillance of covid-19 throughout Ontario and on campus at UW and LC-MS/MS analysis of pharmaceuticals, hormones and drugs of abuse in riverwater, wastewater and fish.  She continued on to do an undergraduate research project to help develop a chiral LC-MS/MS method for the analysis of pharmaceuticals in fish tissue.  Her poster on this topic won the Arthur J Niimi Outstanding Student Poster Presentation Award (2nd place) at the Canadian Ecotoxicity Workshop (CEW) in 2024.  

Rashne started her Master's in Chemistry Sept. 2025.  She will be looking at non-target analysis of wastewater.
