Sabrina Cagampan

Biology Technician

Research Interests

Sabrina (she/they) joined the Servos Lab in April 2026 after first connecting with the group through BIOL 470 (Methods of Aquatic Ecology) the previous fall. Prior to joining the lab, she completed several co-op terms with Environment and Climate Change Canada as a freshwater mussel ecotoxicology technician. This experience sparked their interest in aquatic ecotoxicology and the impacts of human activities on freshwater ecosystems.

Making the jump from invertebrates to vertebrates, in the lab Sabrina supports researchers on projects examining early life stage exposures in fish, including fathead minnow and rainbow darter. This work focuses on the effects of wastewater effluent and complex contaminant mixtures, such as pharmaceuticals and drugs of abuse, on fish development, behaviour, growth, and survival. They assist with laboratory exposures, data collection, and analysis to help better understand how these stressors impact fish during sensitive stages of development.
