Research Interests
Yash was a technician working on COVID-19 wastewater surveillance, with a particular focus on molecular quantification of SARS-CoV-2. His work centred on qPCR analysis and also included digital PCR (dPCR) for the detection and quantification of viral RNA in wastewater samples.
He also contributed to a project examining PCR inhibition in wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) influent, specifically investigating how humic and tannic acids can affect signal detection and influence the interpretation of SARS-CoV-2 measurements in wastewater-based surveillance.
