To celebrate Giving Tuesday, 1,690 University of Waterloo supporters — including alumni, faculty, staff, retirees and friends — donated a whopping $705,621 this year! This is an amazing achievement that is only possible because of you.
The University of Waterloo Campus Wellness team works throughout the year to provide on-campus support for all students, including healthcare, nutritional and dietician support, counselling services and more. While Campus Wellness covers a wide spectrum of support, Melissa Strachan, associate director of Counselling Services, is focusing on improving mental health support for students.

Donors responded with appreciation — and sometimes surprise. “I spoke to a donor who was thrilled to be thanked and not asked for money,” said one caller. Some calls even sparked new gifts. Read the full story.
Many students spend their co-op work terms at tech firms or corporations. Others make an impact at non-profit organizations, thanks to several co-op programs that fund student work terms at non-profit organizations, like Global Citizen Internships, Co-op for Social Good and the Co-op for Community program.
