Volunteer at the Ubiquitous Health Technology Lab

The Ubiquitous Health Technology Lab develops tools that make public health more accessible and connected. Volunteers help with research, data work, prototyping, outreach, and general lab support. No special background is required — just curiosity, reliability, and an interest in improving health through technology. We welcome students, community members, and anyone who wants hands-on experience in tech-for-health projects.

Graduate supervision and student opportunities

The UbiLab is currently accepting applications for graduate studies from individuals interested in the following research areas:

  • mHealth and wearable technology design
  • Ubiquitous sensors for smart homes
  • Usage data and health data analytics
  • Technology for supporting independent living
  • Persuasive design, data-driven design, and user-centered design
  • Machine learning and big data analytics
