Shahabeddin Abhari

Dr. Shahabeddin Abhari is a researcher, lecturer, and consultant in the digital health domain. Now, he is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UbiLab at the University of Waterloo since Jan 2023.

He had been an Assistant Professor of Health Information Technology (HIT) at one of the top medical universities in Iran from 2020 until 2023. He completed a Ph.D. in Health Information Management with a GPA of 18.73/20 at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, as the best medical university in Iran in 2020. He obtained an MSc in Health Information Technology in Iran in 2016. He also successfully completed MPH in Health Policy and MBA in Healthcare due to his interest in interdisciplinary approaches. He has published more than 25 articles in specialized journals indexed in ISI, Scopus, PubMed, and other indexes during his academic activities. Also, he has attended and presented at many international and national scientific congresses. In addition, he has contributed to several research projects in some Iranian universities of medical sciences. Also, he has good teaching experience. He had been teaching intermittently since 2015 at Iranian universities. During these years, he has taught undergraduate student’s various courses for over 1000 hours in the fields of health informatics, health information management, and health information technology.

Shahabeddin would like to help and collaborate with students, researchers, startup teams, companies, and managers that are active in digital health.
