Math ’75 Co-op Entrance Scholarship

Award description: 

A scholarship, valued at $5,000, will be awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student entering Year One of any co-op program within the Faculty of Mathematics (including Computing and Financial Management). Selection will be based on high school admission grades (minimum 80% cumulative average) combined with extracurricular involvement as assessed through the Admission Information Form, and contest scores assessed through the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC). Examples of extracurricular involvement could include volunteering, playing high school sports, music, environmental initiatives and/or leadership experiences. This fund was made possible by the generosity of Chris Trothen (BMATH ’75) and his family, who wish to recognize the hard work of incoming math students.
