The University of Waterloo’s Collaborative Water Program (CWP) is the most interdisciplinary water graduate program in Canada. Co-delivered by 11 departments and schools from all 6 faculties, over 400 students have participated in the CWP since its launch in 2013.

2023 Summer School: Water and Energy Security in a Changing Climate

A Sustainable Futures Initiative presented by the University of Waterloo 

The 2023 Summer School will showcase leading-edge research from a wide array of University of Waterloo professors at the interface of water, climate, and energy. Hosted by the Water Institutethe Waterloo Climate Institute and the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy (WISE) presented under the Sustainable Futures Initiative, this summer school is aimed at senior undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, practitioners and interested stakeholders.  

The school will run virtually 9:00am-10:00am (EST) Monday to Friday from June 5th-23rd.

As part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture seriesQuentin Grafton, Professor of Economics and Chairholder UNESCO Chair in Water Economics and Transboundary Water Governance at the Australian National University (ANU), will present: Responding to the World Water Crisis: Mar del Plata (1977) to New York (2023).


This event will be offered in person in EIT 3142 Conference Room from 3-4 p.m., reception to follow from 4:00 - 5 p.m.
