What is AquaHacking?
AquaHacking is a multi-stage hackathon with a focus on developing functional, marketable innovations to address Lake Erie’s water issues. Students with a passion for water, hackers, engineers, and other creative minds are invited to work together in teams over a 10 week period to develop technology that will positively impact Lake Erie.
AquaHacking provides an exciting space for innovators to experiment, connect, and create solutions for the challenges facing Lake Erie. Anyone 18 or older is welcome.
There is $75,000 in prize money available, in addition to access to local accelerators and mentors for winning teams.
Challenge days
Challenge days will be taking place at the University of Waterloo from April to June. The semi-finals will be held on June 21, and the final pitch will be on September 13 at Federation Hall.
