Join us for a panel discussion on February 1 to hear from five speakers who travelled from Waterloo Region to participate in COP21 in Paris. Whether you are just starting to be curious about climate change or already well-versed and keen to discuss the details, this event will provide a space to engage with others. 

The fourth lecture in the Water Institute's WaterTalks Lecture Series features Dr. Susan Hubbard, Associate Lab Director for Earth and Environmental Sciences, and Senior Scientist, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Dr. Hubbard's lecture addresses New approaches for characterizing watershed structure and function.

Work with liquid, ion, or gas chromatography, and/or mass spectrometry (MS)? Need extra support to push your research program forward? Come out to the inaugural meeting for the mass spectrometer user group.

There will be a presentation by the University of Waterloo's Mass Spectrometry Facility's Dr. Richard Smith, followed by an open forum for questions.

Join us on March 29, from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the Centre for Environmental and Information Technology (EIT) Atrium at the University of Waterloo for food, drinks and information about AquaHacking 2017. Learn about the competition, have your questions answered, learn about past winners and find out how you can be a part of this innovative movement!

About AquaHacking

AquaHacking is a multi-stage hackathon with a focus on developing functional, marketable innovations to address Lake Erie’s water issues. Students with a passion for water, hackers, engineers, and other creative minds are invited to work together in teams over a 10 week period to develop technology that will positively impact Lake Erie.

Dangerous Ideas is hosting a panel discussion on May 31, 2017, featuring  Vandana Shiva, Shiv Chopra, Maude Barlow and Chief Leslee White-Eye. This event will take place at St. Paul’s University College in room 105.

This will be the first annual general meeting of the Global Water Futures (GWF) program. Plenaries, project reporting, posters, student events, breakout sessions, and other important GWF initiatives will take place during this time. 

The primary purpose of the GWF inaugural Annual Science Meeting is to provide an opportunity for all GWF researchers and affiliated highly-qualified personnel to gather and share their scientific findings and other relevant activities and outcomes with GWF community and users/stakeholders.
