hackathon!
Hack the Plastics (see the event webpage for most complete details) is an 11-hour weekend long hackathon from 28 February – 1 March, 2020 at the University of Waterloo with the aim of tackling problems related to plastic pollution and incorporating a microbial-based solution. All projects will be started from scratch and the team formation will happen at the event. The final project includes a design, business plan and pitch. This hackathon does not require coding experience, aims to integrate all faculties at the university and is open to other universities including Laurier, Guelph, and Western.
At this event, we expect to welcome 100 participants, as well as industry representatives.
