Currently a few of us are investigating the issues identified at the last meeting. Until they are resolved to WNAG's satisfaction, the proposal cannot be totally implemented:
- GPOs - looking and changing
- moving students, resetting passwords (for other students of other faculties)
- Norton/Symanetec Antivirus
- perfecting simple workstation installation process
- resolving issues of defining policies, such as for particular areas, or for laptops
- understanding and recognizing the needs of multiple faculty units
The last bullet I recorded was to encourage new training and information. After some discussion, we thought we might benefit most from encouraging people to go to conferences where we can learn from or compare with other universities and their solutions. I agree that it is very important, but it's a matter that is somewhat independant of this proposal.
