Agenda

New Nexus Login Experience (Erick)

For the new term, Nexus will gain a slightly new login appearance, based on the many suggestions and concerns.

  • Visibility
    • The Nexus logo will be used in a few more locations to improve visibility.
    • If you use RDP to remotely connect to ecterm2 right now, you will see the new logo appearing on the actual login box. You will also see that the login box is pushed up into the corner to make more room for the login browser.

Support for "-userid"

  • The "-userid" signon option to allow signing on without a roaming profile is slated to come out for the beginning of term.

XP operating system

  • There was a straw poll to see how many public Nexus stations are still running Windows 2000.
  • There are still a few pockets running W2K and efforts will be made to get these upgraded to XP.
