IST reorganization
- Tim mentioned that IST is undertaking an internal reorganization. Details will be revealed over the next couple of weeks
Root lockdown
- Naji reported seeing disabled files showing in group policies and had a question about locking down the top level of the Nexus workstation's C: disk. A discussion followed with suggestions and advice from group members.
Mathcad versions
- Nevil noted that there are different versions of Mathcad in Arts and Management Sciences.
- Daniel said that he could get the older installations synched.
Software upgrades
- Daniel said the he has Dreamweaver 8, Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.05 and Simulate 2005 packaged up.
- Daniel is currently working on Oracle Desktop Calendar.
Documentation group report
- Lowell will send out Twiki URL to WNAG
- There was a reminder that everyone needs to participate in the documentation process.
- Tim will migrate items out of the Nexuslog mailman archives to the Twiki.
Firewall update
- Being tested in Arts and Science
- Currently in use in the Science public computer labs.
Recursive "My Documents" problem
- Steph reported last meeting that Science students taking an ES course are getting corrupted profiles. This is a result of the "My Documents" folder getting replicated many times. This problem has been diagnosed by Engineering Computing. The fix will be implemented at the end of term.
Missing Q Drive in CS
- Erick requested RDP access to a problematic CS workstation to investigate.
