Podium machines

  • Tim has requested that all registrar podium machines get the same software.  This will be implemented.

Software updates

  • Daniel is working on new versions of I-tunes and Quick Time
  • Daniel has finished packaging ONBase active X for the GAP project and will be pushed out next week.

Microsoft licensing

  • Engineering has entered into some preliminary talks regarding licensing and costs for Microsoft products.
  • More than 3000 FTEs makes most of the pricing cheaper.

Ad supported Microsoft products

  • Erick commented that new computers may be coming out with an ad supported version of MS Word and Excel which have some reduced functionality.

End Point 11

  • Hon upgraded the Nexus End Point server to 11.0.4202.75
  • Eng, Science, Math and Environment use Engineering’s End Point server
  • AHS and Arts use IST’s Endpoint server
  • Hon suggests disabling and removing all of the extras from Endpoint before deploying
