Interested in learning a new mathematical concept taught by your peers? Come support students in the faculty of math by attending the DRP presentations! All students, staff, and faculty are welcome. 

The presentations will be held on April 11th from 10-2:30 and April 12th from 10:30-1:30.

The presentation schedule can be viewed here. Please note that lunch will only be provided for DRP participants and the WiM Committee. No registration required.

Join WiM and other women-based groups on campus for a fun evening filled with food, games, and bubble tea to celebrate Women's History Month!

Join WiM for a 2-day hands-on workshop for women in math who are pursuing a graduate degree (Masters or PhD) to get better prepared for a successful completion of the program as well as receive guidance and mentorship with regards to career opportunities post-graduation! Our aim is to create a comfortable space that is conducive for healthy discussions and reflections as well as to promote interaction between peers within the Faculty of Mathematics.

Join WiM and WiCS with UW Chess and UW Poker to celebrate International Women’s Day! Did you know only about 5% of professional poker players and 15% of  all the licensed chess players are women?

Come out on March 8th from 4:00-6:00 pm to Up Your Game in poker and chess, and learn how to apply these critical strategies to your life and career.  Faculty, students, staff, postdocs and other members of the university are invited to join. All levels and genders are welcome!

WiM Directed Reading Program (DRP) initiative aims to provide undergraduate students with the opportunity to work with graduate students on a mathematical project.

Join the DRP lunch & learn to hear from groups participating in our Fall DRP talk about the progress of their projects and share the best teamwork practices they have learned.  Enjoy some food and spend time with fellow classmates while learning more about the WiM Directed Reading Program (DRP).
