Chemical Engineering faculty rank among world’s best scientists

A study conducted by Stanford University has named eleven Department of Chemical Engineering faculty members as world leading academics in their fields.

The study, published in October 2023, used criteria related to research citations to produce a list of over 150,000 scholars. This group represents the top two per cent of researchers in the world from the disciplines of natural science, medicine, social science, psychology, education and economics.

The ratings measure the impact of research citations published in refereed journals. The Stanford study covered this impact in both one year (2022) and career long. Chemical Engineering faculty members had a strong presence on both lists, consistently ranking in the top 100,000 or higher.
