Information for current international students regarding recent study permit caps

We know you likely have questions or concerns about  the Government of Canada’s recent announcement issuing a cap on new international student study permits. 

 
First, and most importantly, please know that you are a valued member of the University of Waterloo and our campus community. We are committed to supporting you and providing the relevant resources and information you need. Review our frequently asked questions (FAQs) and support resources below. 
  
Current students at Waterloo will not be impacted by these changes. Study permit renewals will not be impacted, and study permit holders will not be affected. We encourage you to visit IRCC’s website regularly to ensure you have the latest information. UWaterloo will email you directly if there is impact from any major announcements.
