Our group has been involved with Robocup for more than five years. We started out in the so-called mid-size league with teams of four to five mobile robots playing soccer. Recently we have also entered the Robocup@Home league, where robots operate in a home environment. In this talk I will give an overview of the methods we have developed for these tasks, including self-localization, collision avoidance, object recognition, and reasoning about action. It turned out that most of the components developed for soccer could be re-used or adapted for the home scenario.
