Chrysopsis highlandsensis K.R. Delaney & R.P. Wunderlin is native to the southern central "highlands" of peninsular Florida in Highlands and Polk Counties. It can be locally common but not widely distributed. It has woolly oblong leaves with wavy margins and heads with glandular phyllaries. The species is diploid with 2n=10. See Semple (2006 FNA).
